About Me

Jacqueline Shearman MBACP
Integrative Therapist
(Accred) Trauma Informed Practice
(Accred RNIB) Sight Loss Counsellor
Hi, I’m Jacqueline, an Integrative Therapist and accredited trauma-informed practitioner based in the heart of the City of London. My own life experiences have deeply shaped my path to becoming a therapist, instilling in me a profound appreciation for resilience, connection, and the power of self-compassion.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in the creative industries. I then lived and worked in South Asia, and later dedicating myself to non-profit organisations as a trainer and coach. These chapters of my life introduced me to diverse cultures, perspectives, and communities—broadening my understanding of the world and the unique stories that shape each of us—highlighting the ways our environments influence who we are and the importance of creating safe, nurturing spaces where we can feel truly seen and heard.
A late diagnosis of dyslexia has clarified so much for me, offering a deeper understanding of myself and how I process the world. It’s also enhanced my empathy for others who navigate life with neurodivergence.
As a single parent, I’ve navigated the joys, challenges, and transformative moments that come with raising a child. This journey has been a wellspring of empathy and insight, enriching the way I support my clients. Clients often share that they feel truly understood and supported when working with me—a foundation that underpins all aspects of my practice.
A space for everyone
Inclusivity is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a space where you can bring your full, authentic self without fear or judgment. I am committed to continually deepening my understanding of the unique challenges faced by underrepresented and marginalized communities. Everyone deserves to feel valued and supported.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to its ethical framework. Ensuring a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and genuine care.
